Is this suitable for me if Ive just had my baby ?    Yes you can join us once you have had your 6 week postnatal check up of received confirmation from your doctor or midwife that it is safe for you to begin exercise.


Can I Join if I'm not very fit or haven't exercised in a while ?  Absolutely ! Our postnatal buggy fitness sessions are suitable for all levels, our instructors can tailor the workout to suit individual levels and goals.


Can I bring my baby to the session ?  Absolutely, this session is for Mums and babies and older siblings too, all age children are welcome.


Are the workouts safe for new Mums ?  Yes, our workouts are specifically designed to be a safe and effective for postnatal recovery, Our certified instructors are knowledgeable about postnatal exercise and will provide modifications as needed to accommodate individual needs and abilities.


What if my baby needs attention during the session ?  We understand that babies can be unpredictable, feel free to attend to your baby needs during the sessions necessary, our instructors are understanding and supportive of all the challenges that come with exercising with a baby.

PLEASE BRING A MAT FOR FLOOR WORK AND A WATER BOTTLE TO ALL CLASSES.

 
Buggy Fitness classes are great way to exercise with or without your babies.  All Ladies welcome.

A typical session may consist of:

  • Warm up incorporating general mobility walking then progressing into a fast walk.
  • Main section will concentrate on technique body weight exercises core work to enhance strength and improve muscle recruitment.
  • Pelvic floor and abdominal exercises will be included as well as flexibility and individual coaching.
  • Buggy Boot camp is fun and never boring!

If it rains we still train! Ensure you are dressed suitably and have a cover for your pram. We head around the park rather than stay on the grass and perform exercises as we go, using resistance bands and bodyweight exercises only.

Guaranteed … We’ll motivate, encourage, and support you to reach your full potential. Attend one or both sessions each week.

An exercise class for parents, carers and anyone else who wants to come along, you don’t have to be in charge of a buggy.

A 1 hour class in the park, exercising in the great outdoors. Don’t worry if you have never done anything like this before, Hannah has been teaching buggy fit classes for years and is used to all eventualities exercising with a baby can bring. 

These classes are for all abilities and are really fun, we will try bridges with our babies, push ups while kissing the little ones and chat allot.


Here's 5 more great reasons why exercising outside is better for us:

Endorphins – we’ve all heard of these (the thing which makes us feel good!) and we know we get them from exercise but did you know people who train outside experience higher levels of post exercise endorphins?  And not only will you feel better about yourself after an outdoor workout than you would an indoor one, did you know they also act as natural pain-relievers! Win win!

Fresh Air – sounds obvious and we can all recall our parents encouraging us outside for that all important “fresh air” but it’s benefits are far greater than you think.  Not only is it invigorating and refreshing the high oxygen levels generated by this gorgeous stuff also increase efficiency of almost all the reactions in your body – from weight loss, improved sleep, reduced anxiety and lowering your resting heart rate, yep they are all accelerated by fresh air.  How refreshing!

Serotonin – helps you feel calm, alert and able.  Exposure to the outdoor world boosts serotonin - so you’ll feel good about yourself and calm - ready to face the world! 

Vitamin D – this comes from natural sunlight which helps promote the absorption of calcium providing strength to the bones, reducing inflammation and boosting the immune system.  Now you can’t get that in the gym!

Variety- this is so important if you are to sustain any exercise routine, and exercising outdoors gives you far more space and flexibility to perform exercise routines and work muscles functionally –things that just can’t be achieved in a gym.
